Funky Buddha Brewery, located in Oakland Park, Florida, is seeking a full-time HVAC & Refrigeration Technician to join its growing team. Established in 2010 at its Boca Raton brewpub, Funky Buddha is known for pushing the boundaries of traditional brewing methods with culinary-inspired recipes utilizing all-natural, food-centric ingredients. Some of its best-known beers include flagships Hop Gun IPA and Floridian Hefeweizen.  This fast-growing company is the first production brewery in the greater Fort Lauderdale area and the largest brewery in South Florida and is positioned for rapid expansion over the next few years.

In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot heating and cooling systems to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctions in heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems and estimate repair costs.
• Assist with the installation of ductwork, piping, and related components for HVAC systems.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation of work performed.
• Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and continuously improve technical skills.
• Adhere to safety protocols and promote a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and enhance overall service delivery.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or an associate degree in HVAC or related field preferred.
- Valid HVAC certification and relevant licenses (e.g., EPA Universal Certification).
- Proven experience as an HVAC and refrigeration technician in a commercial setting.
- Strong knowledge of HVACR systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with HVACR tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and building specifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Physical stamina to handle manual labor and work in various environmental conditions.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Physical Requirements: 

• Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl
• Heavy physical work including climbing stairs and ladders, lifting objects, etc.
• Willing to work in wet, hot and cold conditions
• Willing to work in consistently loud environments
• Ability to work safely with potentially hazardous chemicals
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
